Children and Youth International (CYI, formerly Rio+20s) was established in April 2010 specifically to serve as the financial and legal body of the UN Major Group for Children and Youth (UN MGCY). 1) It supports the functioning of the UN MGCY secretariat, 2) it oversees the work of the Organising Partners (OPs), 3) co-leads the OPs election process along with the UN MGCY coordination team, 4) convenes UN MGCY’s grievance redressal mechanism, and 5) provides the organisational avenue for young individuals aged 30 and below to engage in the work of the UN MGCY. Its activities are excited by its board (UN MGCY-CYI .

UN MGCY - CYI Board

According to the Processes and Procedures of the UN MGCY, Children and Youth International (CYI) is the financial and legal body of the UN Major Group for Children and Youth (UN MGCY). It supports the functioning of its secretariat, it oversees the work of the Organising Partners (OPs), co-leads the OPs election process along with the UN MGCY coordination team, and convenes the grievance redressal mechanism of the UN MGCY. Its (CYI’s) activities are executed through the CYI board. The following are the members of the board.
