Assembly Call - January 2024

We are pleased to share that the next MGCY Assembly Call will take place on the Friday, 19th January from 3 pm - 4.30 pm UTC, i.e. 11 am - 12.30 noon New York time.

What is an Assembly Call?

Assembly calls are periodically scheduled in order to share updates with the constituency and promote dialogue among its members, beyond the regular email updates and opportunities that are shared. There are also a time for sharing ideas, feedback, and more. The calls are not spaces for decision-making, given the inherent structural barriers that prevent many from joining.

If you are new to the MGCY, please find here an introductory guide here for your review ahead of the call. All are welcome, regardless of your prior level of engagement! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or contributions you would like to make to the discussion. We are looking forward to your inputs and having an engaging, forward-looking discussion.

This month’s call

During this month’s Assembly call, we will be sharing updates and taking inputs regarding the plan for 2024 across our key avenues of work, including ECOSOC Youth Forum, HLPF review, UN Youth Strategy and other processes. Updates will also be shared on cross-cutting thematic activities, Summit of the Future, 2025 Social Summit and administrative work. Some written information will be shared in advance of the call.
