COVID-19 is affecting the world at large and Mauritius has also been impacted significantly. We are currently experiencing a very difficult time, the country is locked down and schools and universities are closed. In order to encourage our young people to spend their time and energy positively and productively during the national lockdown, we have launched a national essay writing competition under five themes, namely:

  1. What is COVID-19 and how can I protect myself?

  2. Socio-Economic Challenges of COVID-19

  3. COVID-19 and the role of Health Services

  4. COVID-19: What lessons can be drawn for the future?

  5. COVID-19 and Pollution

The competition is for children and youth aged 11 to 32.
